I would like to thank my daughter in law, Samantha Kerr and dear friends, Arlene Lewis, John and Georgianna Shepard for showing the winning cats with such grace and care. Their love and passion for the breed does us ALL proud.
.
I want to thank Akiko and Atsuki Maeyama from Medusa Cattery in Japan, for the unique and rewarding trust and relationship with Akerrs Bengal cats. Their cat, SGC Akerrs Regal Splendor of Medusa has spent his kittenhood and now a good part of his adulthood in the States to be shown with the support of the Maeyamas. Their support has taken Samantha Kerr all over the US and into Canada as she has shown him for them… along the way, they won Second International Bengal Kitten of the Year, Top US Bengal kitten of the Year, Bengal Kitten of the Year in the Great Lakes Region (again, not in Japan yet) and eighth best Allbreed Kitten of the Year in the Great Lake. Splendor got his Best Allbreed cat in his fourth show to Supreme.
SGCA Akerrs Lil Gator, owned by Arlene Lewis and shown with the able assistance of John and Georgianna Shepard, won Great Lakes Region Best Bengal Alter. Congratulations to a trio of Bengal cat lovers who take such joy and pride in showing their Bengal cats…. made dear friends over the years, it is fun to see them so successful with their cats.
I also want to thank Patrick’s Bengal Breed for the plaques awarded to the Best Bengal Kitten and Alter of the Great Lakes Region. I appreciate the many people who support the cat fancy.
.Thank you for allowing me to do a little bragging and a lot of thanking! One thing learned well over my years of showing and breeding, is that we are a community that must learn to work together and to support each other along the way. I appreciate as well the judges and TICA for making such opportunities possible.
Sincerely,
Libbie Kerr
