This site is for the presentation of photos and text collected through the email list: bengalcatgenes@yahoogroups.com The yahoogroups list is open for anyone to join and to discuss genetics... it is not associated with a particular philosophy other than "everything said is open to discussion and debate."
Collectively, the bengalcatgenes list needed a site to place some comparative photos and information, and I will try to make that THIS site. Please send any photos to libbiekerr@akerrsbengals.com and I will try to get them up in a timely manner. I will not reference the name of the cats or catteries, but will list the names of the person providing the photos. This is not intended as a means to advertise, etc but as a means of allowing us a more in depth discussion.
The main hypothesis to me is:
The Bengal cat brings traits from its wild type model, the Asian leopard cat, that were not in the domestic cat fancy before.
